Heading west, you'll wind through glens and forests before reaching the breathtaking viewpoint at Glen Docherty, where the road drops away to reveal Loch Maree stretched out below, framed by mountains. The route continues over the legendary Bealach na Bà — the highest road in Britain — before descending into Applecross, where a relaxed lunch stop awaits (the Applecross Inn is a local favourite).
