From Nairn, the Malt Whisky Trail winds through the handsome market towns of Dufftown, Keith, Craigellachie and Elgin, taking in some of the most celebrated distilleries on earth. We run private distillery tours built entirely around you: pick your distilleries, pick your pace, and we'll do the driving.

One of the world's most famous single malts and still family-owned after five generations. The visitor experience in Dufftown walks you through the whole story, from mash tun to warehouse, with tastings drawn straight from the cask.
Perhaps the most collectible name in whisky. The Macallan's extraordinary subterranean visitor centre — an architectural attraction in its own right — pairs theatrical exhibits with some of the most revered drams in Speyside.
The oldest working distillery in the Highlands, dating back to 1786, and home of Chivas Regal. With its twin pagodas and cloistered courtyard beside the River Isla, it's often called the prettiest distillery in Scotland.
The original licensed distillery of the Glenlivet parish, set in wild moorland in the foothills of the Cairngorms. Its spring-water source and long history make it a pilgrimage for single malt fans.
Right next door to Glenfiddich, The Balvenie still grows its own barley, malts on a traditional floor malting and keeps its own coppersmith — one of the few distilleries where you can see every craft step under one roof.
A friendly, unpretentious distillery on the outskirts of Elgin, close to home. Known for generous, well-priced drams and hands-on tours — a great first or last stop on a Speyside day out.
How it works
Call, WhatsApp or email with the distilleries you'd like to visit — or just tell us your favourite bottles and we'll suggest a route. Tours typically run four to eight hours, from Nairn or Inverness.
We'll map a route with sensible driving time between stops, book-friendly timings, and a proper lunch stop — Speyside has some excellent options, from pub lunches to the cafés at the distilleries themselves.
Your driver handles the roads and stays with the vehicle while you tour and taste. Everyone in your party can join in the samples, and we'll get you home safely at the end of the day.
Most distilleries ask that tours and tastings are booked in advance, and some offer premium experiences that fill up weeks ahead. If you tell us your date and party size, we'll advise which distilleries to book and how to time your day — the travel, pickup and drop-off are all taken care of by us.
