For the safety of our drivers, passengers, and the general public, our vehicles are fitted with dash cameras that record both video and audio.
Cameras record inside the vehicle (cabin-facing) and externally (road-facing). This includes images and sound.
- To protect the safety and security of drivers, passengers, and the public
- For use in investigating accidents, complaints, disputes, or allegations of misconduct
- To assist with insurance claims and potential legal proceedings
- For training and service improvement purposes
Recordings are securely stored and access is restricted to authorised personnel only. Footage may be shared with insurers, legal representatives, or law enforcement where required by law or necessary for resolving disputes.
Recordings will only be kept for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes stated above. Where footage is required for ongoing investigations, insurance claims, or legal proceedings, it may be retained for a longer period in line with legal obligations.
As an individual captured in dash cam recordings, you have the following rights:
- Right of access – You can request access to any personal data held about you
- Right to rectification – You can request corrections to inaccurate personal data
- Right to erasure – You may request that your personal data be deleted, subject to legal or insurance requirements
- Right to restriction – You can request limits on how your data is processed
- Right to object – You may object to the processing of your data in certain circumstances
